Strength in Times of Trouble

I woke up this morning feeling worse that I did when I went to bed, sick, achy with a firbro flare up, and diarrhea, weak with the beginnings of dehydration. I found comfort in a short video created by a woman who had  survived an airplane crash.   This video is so inspiring you must check it out! My New Life

I am not my pain and sickness, I still am important and can be of use to God.  So are you, no matter how bad the days get, no matter how much the pain (physical, mental or emotional) hurts.  He is not farther away than a call of help, even if that is all you can utter.  God loves each and every one of us, He lived and died to gives us a future and a hope.  If nothing else hang on to that one thought and do not take your own life, do not let the enemy win! That is what the enemy wants most, you to quit!  It's okay to fall down, but just be sure to get up every time, even if you have to lay there a minute or two first.  Never, Never let the enemy win, for he has come to steal, kill and destroy YOU! John 10:10

Here are some more texts that might help in times of difficulty.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

This is my chi Piper

Beautiful day to begin Atkins diet

It is a beautiful Saturday morning here in Albuquerque, NM.  It is 69 degrees out and sunny on with a cloudless sky (well from my window anyway).  My window faces the Sandia Mountain Range which reminds me of Pikes Peak in Colorado but not quite so tall.

My puppy Piper is resting quietly beside me and we are going to have a great day.  I get paid tomorrow and will be able to start the Atkins diet.  I will be loosing over 100lbs and keeping you updated here as to my progress and  feelings during this journey.  If my brother can do it so can I!  I am going to be positive and take it day by day!

2013 Update family and Fibromyalgia

It has been a long 2 years since I have posted anything.  During 2012 my younger brother who has been in and out of the hospital since 2005 for RA side effects (destroyed his heart valves which needed to be replaced) continued to be sick.  In January of 2013 he was in an accident was in the hospital and nursing homes until June.  He tore his quadriceps from his knee on his left leg and in another accident in a nursing home he did the right knee as well as break his lower left leg (both bones).  He has been home a few weeks and after being on medication is just now walking a few feet at a time.  He was able to get an electric wheelchair (300lbs) which does practically everything.  He lives in Arkansas with his wife who is blind and a 4 yr old grandchild they are caring for.

I have been stressing about this all year long and am very happy it is finally worked out.  Stress does not help my fibromyalgia.  I am not having a flare up at the moment, though I have been extremely tired in the mornings.

I also just received some wonderful news, 8/29/13 my nephew Jason Knickerbocker's wife had their third child, Patrick Casey

I have found a website that has many inspirational quotes.  I will begin with the health quotes from the Bible, and you can copy and paste the link from the bottom of the list to put it on your own website.  I will add more quotes in the future.

New Day and New Year!

So Christmas is over and we can relax for a few days.  I like New Years much better sometimes, its a bit easier,
no huge decorating (unless you REALLY WANT TO), and partying is easier.  My church is going to get
together with another on the first and we'll do skits, and have puppet shows, and have a great time until the new
 year.

I'll find out what exactly we're doing tonight at church.  I sure do hope there's some eating, and drinking (pop,
 non-alcoholic things!) that night!...Just a hope!
